how it works
free on-site estimate
We walk your space, take measurements, talk through what you want, and leave you with a clear written number — usually within one business day.
design & material selection
We help you choose between pressure-treated, cedar, and composite, finalize the layout, and lock the price before a single board is cut.
owner-supervised build
We pull the permits and an owner supervises the build on site — every footing, every joist, every railing. Once the permit is issued, materials are delivered, and site prep is done, most decks are completed in about a week.
final walk-through & warranty handoff
We pass inspection, walk the finished deck with you, and leave the site clean. Your 2-year workmanship warranty — written into your contract from day one — is already in effect the moment the build is done.
what homeowners say
My deck is over 20 years old and ProDeck Works did an amazing job resurfacing the main section, replacing all the rotten joists, and tightening up all my posts and railings. I would definitely recommend them. Honest, fair, and straightforward.
I am very satisfied with the work that was done. They paid attention to the details.
who you're hiring
ProDeck Works is a father & son-in-law — Chicagoland natives who always wanted to build a business together, and built it around the thing our family does best.
Behind every ProDeck build is more than twenty years of hands-on carpentry and construction experience — and an owner is on site at every build, supervising the work personally. It's why our quality holds and our quotes don't drift.
Pressure-treated, cedar, and composite — materials we'll stand behind, chosen for your budget and your house, never upsold.
questions homeowners ask
Most new decks land between $8,000 and $30,000 depending on size, height, and material. Pressure-treated is the most affordable; composite costs more upfront but needs almost no maintenance. You get a clear written quote with no hidden line items, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
We handle them. We pull the building permit for your township, schedule the inspections, and don't ask you to chase paperwork. Your deck is built to code and signed off by your local inspector before we hand it over.
Once the permit is issued, materials are delivered, and site prep is done, most decks are completed in about a week. Larger or multi-level builds take longer — we give you a real schedule at the estimate, not a guess.
Every deck we build carries a 2-year workmanship warranty in writing, on top of any manufacturer warranty on the decking and railing materials. If our workmanship fails, we come back and make it right.
Yes. We repair, reinforce, and restore decks no matter who built them. We'll inspect the structure, tell you honestly what's safe and what isn't, and fix what needs fixing.
